Cultures of Soul at Do617 Pop-Up Shop for Record Store Day

April is here and that means one thing - Record Store Day! Love it or hate it there's an abundance of releases and vinyl to buy. As we have done in the past we are participating in an event called Do617 Pop-Up Shop. It's an event in Boston that gives a platform for small independent labels to sell their releases on Record Store Day. This gives labels like ours who don't always get accepted for Record Store Day a chance to sell their new releases! This year we'll have copies of our highly acclaimed Take Us Home: Boston Roots Reggae compilation that just came out as well as many titles in our catalog including Tokyo Nights, Evans Pyramid, Sabrina Rich, and many others.

We'll also be selling original funk/soul/jazz/reggae/disco/boogie/african/world records from our private collection that we are letting go of. We'll have some copies of the original rare records featured on our Boston roots reggae compilation including Zion Initation, Errol Strength, Danny Tucker, and others. Please get in touch with us if you plan on attending and would like us to bring soul/funk 45s or disco 12"s as well have plenty we could bring if there are interested buyers.
